When to Initiate Stage 2 Transitioning ?

The Transitional Pod is recommended as soon as your baby shows signs of rolling.
At this stage, traditional swaddling is no longer safe because babies need free arm movement to reposition themselves naturally.

Start the Transitional Pod if your baby:

Begins rolling from back to side

Wants to break out of the swaddle

Wants more arm freedom

Shows increased shoulder mobility

SIZE GUIDE

As your baby enters the “Rolling” stage, it’s important to shift their sleepwear to a safer, arms-free option. This stage brings increased mobility, and the Tulo Baby Transitional Pod is designed to support that change smoothly and comfortably. Use this pod to help your baby move from a swaddled fit to full arms-out sleep. Our sizing is suitable for babies from around 3 months onward, covering weights from 6 to 14 kg and heights approximately 68 to 84 cm.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Transitioning from the Stage 1 Sleeping Pod to Arms-Free Sleep

When your baby begins showing signs of rolling, it’s time to move from the Stage 1 Sleeping Pod to safe, arms-free sleep. The Tulo Baby Transitional Pod makes this shift gentle and gradual. Here’s how to do it:

Start With Both Cuffs Closed

Begin by placing your baby in the Transitional Pod with both cuffs closed.

Open One Cuff (One Arm Out)

After a few naps or nights, open one cuff to let one arm free.

Switch Sides if Needed

If your baby prefers one side or seems unsettled, you can alternate which arm is free. This allows them to adjust evenly and comfortably.

Open Both Cuffs (Full Arms-Free Sleep)

Once your baby is settling well with one arm free, open both cuffs.

Use Transitional Pod Until Fully Adjusted

Allow your baby to sleep in the arms-free setup for several days or weeks.
