WHEN SHOULD ONE START USING A SLEEPING BAG?
We highly recommend utilizing a swaddle, SLEEPING POD or TRANSITIONAL POD for your baby until approximately 6 months of age. A sleeping pod serves as an excellent sleep aid by keeping your little one comfortably wrapped and helping to alleviate their Moro reflex. The Moro reflex, often referred to as the startle reflex, occurs when a baby feels like they are falling just as they are about to drift off to sleep. This reflex can disturb their sleep and necessitate the need to settle them again from the beginning. By swaddling, you can provide a sense of security, minimize the startle reflex, and promote more peaceful sleep for your baby.
Around the age of 6 months, the Moro reflex typically begins to fade out, indicating that it's an ideal time to consider transitioning from a sleeping pod to a baby sleeping bag. However, if your baby starts showing signs of rolling over before reaching 3 months, We would advise making the switch to a baby transitional pod/sleeping bag sooner.
