NESTO PAD - CARE INSTRUCTIONS

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR NESTO PAD?

The Nesto Pad has removable covers and all parts of the pad can be washed and cleaned.

COVER: The cover can be washed by hand as well as in the machine. Please look out for care instruction labels as per dyes and prints and follow the instructions. Each process is different and one needs to follow the care instruction as per the process.

BUMPER: The bumper can be hand washed, please avoid the bumper to be washed in the machine as that can cause damage to the filler.

FOAM: Avoid folding and creasing the foam pad. Do not squish the foam pad, or store it bunched up.  Do not machine wash or tumble dry the foam pad, as doing so can cause permanently folding and creasing of the pad.

Hand wash the pad in cold water and lay flat to dry completely.

LINER: The Liner can be washed and dried in the machine.

HEAD PILLOW: The POLYFILL head pillow can be washed in machine while the MUSTARD head pillow comes with removable cover which can be washed but the filler should not be washed. To disinfect it the mustard pillow filler can be kept under the sun for couple of hours.

MOSQUITO NET: The mosquito net can be hand washed, avoid using it in the machine.

PLAY GYM: The play gym can be gently hand washed in cold or running water.

How do I prevent mildew (mold) from growing on my dock?

If you are concerned about "mold" on your Nesto Pad, it is actually likely mildew that concerns you (mildew is what sometimes grows on damp textiles, whereas mold tends to grow on food or in other areas).  Any time fabric does not dry out after getting wet (e.g. from wet diapers, spit-up, sweat, or incomplete drying after washing, etc.), there is a chance mildew can develop.  Here is how you can help prevent mildew from developing on your Nesto Pad -

-If the Nesto Pad gets wet or damp, allow it to dry completely before using or stowing away.

-Move the Nesto Pad about—regularly shake it, ventilate it, and expose it to light and fresh air.

-Avoid storing the Nesto Pad in humid or damp areas.

If you should find mildew on the Nesto Pad over time, we recommend adding a cup of white vinegar when washing the product according to the instructions on the product label.  Alternatively, you can soak the affected piece to soak in a solution of white vinegar and water for an hour or two before washing the piece according to the instructions on the product label.

Notably, there is nothing in the materials of Nesto Pad that causes mildew, and we have refrained from adding anti-fungal or anti-bacterial chemicals to the Nesto Pad.  However, like any fabric product, mildew can grow on a Nesto Pad if it gets wet and is not fully dried.  Appropriate care is necessary to keep your pad in top shape.
